Job summary

VIDA bioenergy in Breda, the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, optimize and support renewable energy processes across anaerobic digestion, gasification and related technologies. You will collaborate with project teams, operations and external partners to ensure safe, sustainable and compliant performance.

The role reports to the VP Projects & Engineering and involves traveling within Europe, leading FEED studies, commissioning, and

Qualifications

University degree in Engineering or relevant discipline with combination of qualifications and experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in green and brown field project development and execution.
Strong technical background with a track record of process engineering in an agile environment.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch required.
Willingness to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety, sustainability and innovation in processes.
Develop and optimize anaerobic digestion, gas cleaning, upgrading, wastewater treatment, drying and pelletizing.
Lead Front End Loading studies (feasibility, technology selection, Basis of Design, equipment sizing).
Support basic and detailed engineering and construction phases.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners (vendors, regulators).
Lead commissioning activities and develop SOPs and training materials.
