Job summary

Byont is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliability across our biogas installations. You will organize, plan and continuously improve maintenance, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maximize asset availability.

You are hands-on, travel regularly between sites, and bring 3+ years in maintenance or engineering. Dutch and English fluency are required, German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an MBO Level 4 technical qualification or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
• Experience with biogas technology, biomethane installations, CHP systems, and PLC/SCADA systems.
• Good command of Dutch and English; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan and continuously improve maintenance of installations.
• Collaborate with COO, production teams, suppliers and service partners to maximize asset availability.
• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external providers.
• Supervise maintenance work and inspect contractors.
• Analyze recurring failures and implement improvements.
• Coordinate inspections and certifications (electrical, ATEX, env. & safety).
• Monitor maintenance costs and KPIs.
• Help establish a professional maintenance management system.
• Support development of a future-proof service and maintenance team.
