Job summary

Canon EMEA seeks a Lease Business Process and Lease Accounting Lead to join the Customer Finance Team. You will ensure correct accounting for vendor leases, provide guidance on lease classification, and lead cradle-to-grave lease processes to optimise efficiency.

As Lead, you will design and implement processes, maintain internal controls (JSOX), and oversee PLP contracts, ensuring timely approvals and accurate financial entries across US GAAP and IFRS environments.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance / Accounting or related field.
• CPA/RA or equivalent accounting qualification or significant accounting experience.
• Understanding JSOX control framework.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; autonomous working.
• Proficient English; other EU languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lease Accounting, Business Rules and Processes.
• Monitor and ensure US GAAP / IFRS adherence.
• Support NSO lease-related projects and changes.
• Develop and maintain lease portfolio reporting.
• Ensure timely contract activation and correct accounting entries.
• Provide training materials and end-to-end lease process training.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and PLP governance.
