Job summary

Damen Naval is seeking a (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior (interim) specialized in joinery and accommodation systems for naval vessels. You will translate concepts into precise technical specifications, oversee the engineering process, and ensure compliance with strict quality standards.

The role involves drafting supplier specs, coordinating with procurement, supporting QA tests, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture or related field.
Proven experience as Technical Specification Engineer or similar role.
Experience in joinery works within the maritime industry.
Proficiency in CAD software for drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
Create detailed technical specifications for joinery works, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select suitable materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished joinery meets required standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to the production team, resolving issues during the project.
Maintain accurate documentation of joinery specifications, changes, and project progress.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of joinery works with other ship systems.
Stay updated with industry developments and best practices related to joinery works.
