Multi.engineering in Vlissingen, Netherlands, seeks an Accommodation Engineer – Naval Ships to lead joinery and insulation specification work on complex naval vessels. Role includes subcontracting, supplier coordination, and interface with other engineering disciplines.

Hybrid work arrangement allows up to two days per week from home. The successful candidate will translate customer requirements into joinery specifications, support FATs and inspections, and guide production teams while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related field.
• Experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or similar in maritime joinery.
• Detailed knowledge of joinery materials and construction techniques.
• Proficiency in CAD for drawings and specs.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering information.
• Clear communication with suppliers and production teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional and detailed joinery specifications for suppliers.
• Coordinate subcontractor engineering to meet project requirements.
• Work with procurement to select materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
• Support quality inspections and FATs to verify joinery meets standards.
• Provide technical guidance to production teams and resolve joinery issues.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines to integrate joinery with vessel systems.
• Maintain records of technical specifications and design changes.
• Follow developments in joinery materials and methods.
