Job summary

Damen Naval, the naval division of Damen Shipyards Group, is seeking a (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior (interim) to lead joinery and accommodation systems design for naval vessels. You will convert design concepts into precise technical specs, supervise engineering, and ensure compliance with strict quality standards.

The role requires collaboration with procurement, production, and other engineering disciplines, with the option to work from home up to two days weekly in Vlissingen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in naval architecture, marine engineering, civil architecture or related field.
• Experience as Technical Specification Engineer or similar, with focus on joinery in maritime industry.
• Proficient CAD skills and ability to create precise technical drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
• Create detailed technical specifications for joinery works meeting industry standards.
• Collaborate with procurement to select materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
• Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure joinery meets standards.
• Provide technical support to production and maintain joinery documentation.
