Job summary

Yuno is seeking a Staff Incident Manager to own major incident lifecycles end-to-end. You’ll lead incident command, drive MTTR improvements, and ensure learnings translate into concrete reliability actions across engineering teams.

You will orchestrate on-call rotations, coordinate cross-domain responses, and deliver clear merchant-facing updates while maturing incident management practices for sustained uptime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience running major incident response in production.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native operations.
• Experience maturing incident management practices (severity frameworks, runbooks).
• Fluency with observability tools (metrics/logging/tracing) and incident tooling.
• Track record of postmortems that drive engineering changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication under pressure.
• Comfort with on-call as a regular part of the role, including outside business hours.
• English – advanced proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as incident commander on major/critical incidents, coordinating response end-to-end.
• Drive MTTR improvements and uptime metrics to meet 99.99% targets.
• Run on-call rotations, escalation policies, and alert quality improvements.
• Own merchant-facing updates and internal escalation communications during events.
• Lead blameless postmortems and track action items to closure.
• Translate incident patterns into reliability roadmap items with engineering teams.
• Define/manage incident severities and runbooks within the operating model.
• Report incident trends and SLA/SLO performance to engineering leadership.
