Job summary

Kuros Biosciences, a Swiss-listed life science company, seeks a Senior HR Business Partner for Bilthoven to shape workforce strategy and deliver HR programs. You will partner with leaders on talent, engagement, and performance while ensuring compliance with Dutch laws and council requirements.

You will collaborate with global HR centers of expertise, drive organizational development, support recruitment, and guide managers with actionable coaching; a strong Dutch-English capability is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in HR, Legal or Psychology required; Master’s or HR cert preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience including HRBP.
• Experience in the Netherlands or Benelux region, international matrixed organization preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of Dutch employment law andWorks Council processes, employee representation, sickness absence and reintegration, and local HR compliance requirements.

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing team in Bilthoven.

Position Overview

The Senior HR Business Partner will serve as both a hands-on and strategic partner to business leaders, providing guidance on talent management, organizational development, recruitment, employee relations and HR programs. This role will act as a trusted advisor, helping shape workforce strategies that support business goals while ensuring a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives.

• Provide guidance on talent management, employee engagement, and performance management.

• Analyze workforce metrics and trends to inform decision-making and recommend solutions.

• Collaborate with HR centers of expertise (e.g., Operations, Total Rewards, Talent and Org Development) to implement programs and initiatives.

• Lead complex employee relations investigations and resolution strategies.

• Coach and develop managers by offering candid, actionable feedback to help managers build leadership skills across their teams.

• Support and participate in recruitment activities, including interviewing, assessing candidates, and advising on selection to ensure high-quality hiring outcomes.

• Provide guidance on and partner with Talent COE on business unit restructures, org design, change management, workforce planning, and succession planning.

• Interpret and apply HR policies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

• Advise leadership on Dutch employment law requirements, including employment contracts, dismissal procedures, statutory leave, sickness absence and reintegration obligations, working time rules, equal treatment, and employee privacy considerations.

• Partner with local management on Works Council matters, including timely consultation, consent processes, and clear communication on organizational changes, HR policies, working conditions, and employee-related initiatives.

• Ensure HR practices are aligned with applicable collective labour agreements, internal policies, Dutch payroll practices, pension arrangements, holiday allowance, leave entitlements, and local benefits administration.

• Support absence management and occupational health processes in line with Dutch Arbo and reintegration requirements, working closely with managers, employees, occupational health providers, and external advisors where needed.

• Partner with compensation and benefits teams in administering and evaluating our rewards programs, and ensuring employees are familiar with our offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Legal or Psychology, or related field required; Master’s or HR certifications preferred.

• 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner.

• Demonstrated experience operating as an HR Business Partner in the Netherlands or Benelux region, preferably within an international, matrixed organization.

• Solid working knowledge of Dutch employment law and practical experience with Works Council processes, employee representation, sickness absence and reintegration, and local HR compliance requirements.

• Ability to balance global HR standards with local Dutch employment practices, employee expectations, and pragmatic business needs.

• Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken, is required.
