Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Engineer High Voltage to lead the technical direction of HV projects (110–380 kV). You will manage substations, transmission lines and grid connections, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring quality across project lifecycles.

You will act as the technical authority, guiding calculations, specifications and deliverables while maintaining client relationships and adherence to Arcadis standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high-voltage engineering projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate technical stakeholders.
• Experience with grid connections, substations, and HV equipment is required.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• English fluency; Dutch language is strongly preferred for local interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of HV projects (110–380 kV) including substations and lines.
• Act as technical authority, guiding design and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams; manage resources and milestones.
• Review specifications, calculations, and single-line diagrams for correctness.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and Arcadis procedures.
• Manage technical risks and design changes across projects.
• Serve as primary technical contact for clients and grid operators.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and procurement activities.
• Contribute to proposals, tenders, and client presentations.
• Coach and mentor engineers to drive technical excellence.
