Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Engineer High Voltage to provide technical leadership on HV projects (110–380 kV), including substations and transmission lines. You will guide engineering work, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with grid operators and engineers to deliver high-quality, compliant designs while supporting proposals and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in HV engineering with leadership of work packages/teams.
• Strong knowledge of HV substations, transmission, and cables; relevant standards.
• Experience with TSOs/DSOs, EPCs, consultancies, or utilities.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a strong advantage due to Netherlands interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of HV infrastructure projects (110–380 kV).
• Act as technical authority and provide engineering guidance across lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Review and approve calculations, specs, equipment selections, and diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and Arcadis procedures.
• Manage technical risks, interfaces, and design changes.
• Serve as primary technical contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Support project planning, resource forecasting, and budgeting.
• Contribute technical input for proposals and tenders.
• Coach and develop engineers to promote excellence and continuous improvement.
