Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Engineer High Voltage to lead technical delivery on HV networks (110–380 kV) and substations in the Netherlands. You will guide calculations, select equipment, and drive design quality in collaboration with grid operators and project teams.

Join the Energy Transition High Voltage team to mentor engineers, manage risks, and ensure successful project execution while maintaining strong client relationships and adherence to Arcadis standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in high-voltage engineering projects with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HV substations, transmission, cables, standards.
• Experience with TSOs/DSOs, EPCs, or consultancies is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; English required; Dutch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of HV infrastructure projects (110–380 kV).
• Act as technical authority; guide engineering decisions across lifecycles.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams; ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Review calculations, specs, equipment selections, and diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with standards, client requirements, and Arcadis procedures.
• Manage technical risks and design changes; liaise with clients and partners.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and proposals; mentor engineers.
