Job summary

Alfen B.V. is seeking a Discipline Expert Hardware for the Electric Vehicle Charging platform in Almere, Netherlands.

You will lead a team of about eight hardware engineers, ensure technical excellence, and own EMC testing capabilities and the prototype assembly line. You will develop engineering standards and capabilities, guide decisions across R&D and external partners, and report to the Technology Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with extensive hardware experience.
• Minimum 10 years of hardware development experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary product development in a matrix/project environment.
• Experience bringing products from design/prototype to series production.
• Experience in regulated environments emphasising quality, safety and compliance.
• Experience coaching and developing engineers.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately eight hardware engineers.
• Own EMC testing capabilities and the prototype assembly line.
• Develop and uphold engineering standards, methods and capabilities.
• Align capacity and expertise with the EVC roadmap and represent hardware in R&D and with external partners.
• Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and the Technology Manager.
