Job summary

Stryker is seeking an experienced Sourcing Leader to develop and implement strategic sourcing for the Communications business, coordinating a multi-site team in the US and Germany. The role emphasizes cost control, supplier risk management, and contract strategy, with travel to key sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development.
• Knowledge of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, terms, and administration.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost reduction methodologies.
• Experience with supplier metrics and supporting systems.
• Strong leadership, negotiations, influencing, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to make timely, sound decisions.
• Fluent German and English (C1) speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities within Stryker's Communications business.
• Lead and manage a team across the US and Germany and guide cross-functional groups in strategic commodity planning.
• Oversee sourcing analysis, cost evaluations, and make-vs-buy assessments.
• Direct creation of contract strategies and management of supplier contracts.
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans focusing on supplier stability and ethics.
• Share market condition insights to optimize cost controls and adapt strategies.
• Develop enterprise-wide metrics and processes to enhance sourcing and supplier management.
