Job summary

Stryker seeks a Senior Global Category Manager for Sterilisation to lead a team of category management professionals across geographies. You will direct strategy and execution for substantial portions of global spend within the Sterilisation portfolio, reporting to the VP, Procurement Global Category Management.

The role drives cost reductions, productivity improvements, and risk management while ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in sourcing/procurement, preferably in medical devices.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or operations.
• Experience with sterilisation preferred.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement.
• World-class strategic sourcing and category management practices.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Able to operate with a virtual, global team.
• Travel: 30-40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies for assigned commodities.
• Drive year-over-year productivity improvements and cost savings while maintaining quality and service.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Finance to enhance processes and governance frameworks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with senior supplier management.
• Champion supplier-enabled innovation and sustainability goals.
• Lead critical program initiatives in procurement.
• Formulate processes to build a best-in-class sourcing organisation.
• Lead sourcing analyses and cost/ make vs buy analyses as needed.
