Job summary

Plat4mation is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant in a dynamic, international setting. You will own portions of the month-end close, review GL postings, and guide Analysts with reconciliations, supporting accurate financial reporting.

You will work across entities and currencies, contributing to scalable finance processes and stronger controls while collaborating with colleagues across countries. Fluency in English is required; Dutch is preferred.

Are you a detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant who excels in a dynamic, international environment and is eager to play a key role in strengthening global finance operations? Then you might be our new Senior GL Accountant!

The Senior GL Accountant will be part of the global Finance team and will play a key role in the month-end close, balance sheet control, revenue reconciliations and intercompany accounting. This is a hands‑on role for someone who combines strong accounting expertise with ownership, accuracy and a continuous improvement mindset.

What Will You Do?

• Lead key parts of the month-end close, ensuring timely, complete and accurate financial reporting across group entities.
• Review general ledger postings, purchase and sales invoices, prepaid expenses, accruals and balance sheet positions prepared by Financial Analysts.
• Guide and support Financial Analysts with accounting questions, reconciliations and ad‑hoc financial analyses.
• Review the financial administration of group entities across different accounting systems and follow up on errors, deviations or unusual movements.
• Perform and review balance sheet, intercompany, accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliations, including settlement proposals where needed.
• Prepare and review monthly revenue reconciliations, including clear explanations of differences between platform revenue data and local accounting records.
• Contribute to process improvements, stronger internal controls and scalable finance processes as Plat4mation continues to grow.

Profile:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or a similar field.
• ~ 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, general ledger accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, intercompany accounting and revenue reconciliation.
• Experience working in an international environment with multiple entities and currencies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify, investigate and explain financial differences.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership for accurate and timely financial reporting.
• A proactive, hands‑on and improvement‑driven mindset.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across countries and functions.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite is considered a strong plus.
• A strong accountant who understands both the details and the broader month‑end close process.
• Someone who takes ownership, follows through and does not wait for issues to surface.
• A pragmatic reviewer who can challenge accounting entries constructively and help colleagues improve.
