Job summary

Vinted is seeking a Senior Decision Scientist for the Payments Fraud Management team in Amsterdam. You will safeguard the financial ecosystem while ensuring a seamless experience for legitimate users, collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics to balance real-time ML predictors with business rules and fraud networks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Decision Science or Data Analytics role.
• Experience in Fraud Prevention, Trust & Safety, or a related area.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with business impact.
• Familiarity with SQL and Python.
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of statistical methods, such as A/B testing and regression analysis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with team and stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Test and analyse opportunities to validate value and impact using statistical methods and visualisation tools.
• Select, calculate, and monitor KPIs, flag issues, run analyses, and identify root causes.
• Enable stakeholders to use data for insights via self-service dashboards.
• Promote best practices in analytics and data-driven decision making.
• Co-create with Data Scientists to enhance fraud detection processes.
