Job summary

Vinted in Amsterdam is seeking a Decision Scientist to influence millions of members by building a safe, trustworthy marketplace. You will join Account Verification within Security, using data to shape product direction and balance security with user friction.

You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, and designers, define tracking, run experiments, and maintain Looker dashboards to empower stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential, and prior Trust & Safety experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Decision Science or Data Analytics role.
• Strong analytical thinking with business impact.
• Proficient in SQL and Python or R for data analysis.
• Hands-on with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of statistical methods including A/B testing and regression.
• Excellent communication of results to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-informed decision support with product teams.
• Balance security controls and user experience through analysis.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests to measure impact.
• Define and monitor KPIs for Account Verification.
• Develop self-service Looker dashboards for stakeholders.
• Contribute to Vinted's Data Science & Analytics community.
