Job summary

Ecochain is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Specialist in Amsterdam to own the end-to-end financial administration—accounts receivable, the vendor invoice pipeline, and a timely month-end close. You will report to the Financial Controller and own the domain outright rather than assisting others.

This 24-hour per week, hybrid role offers high ownership, autonomy, and the chance to influence close processes while supporting sustainability goals across a growing B2B SaaS scale-up.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle ownership of bookkeeping and financial administration.
• Solid understanding of general ledger mechanics, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Collections experience and ability to manage invoicing relations.
• Experience with cloud accounting platforms (Exact, AFAS, NetSuite) and Excel.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Self-starter with independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts receivable end-to-end, including billing and aging.
• Run collections independently and resolve billing queries.
• Manage the accounts payable pipeline and invoices with external accountant.
• Prepare weekly payment batches and monitor unpaid items.
• Code invoices to GL accounts and cost centers.
• Prepare routine monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review P&L lines for correct allocation and close readiness.
• Maintain audit-ready administration and support process improvements.
