Job summary

Mollie is seeking an experienced finance professional to own the month-end and year-end close for complex accounts, including revenue and taxes. You will drive regulatory reporting, collaborate with engineering and product on major projects, and partner with FP&A, tax, operations and procurement to deliver scalable financial solutions.

You will also coach junior accountants and prepare for external audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely insights as Mollie grows.

Qualifications

• Degree in accountancy and/or finance.
• ACCA, RA or CPA preferred though not strictly required; fintech or accounting experience also considered.
• Experience managing complex accounts including revenue, cost of sales, provisions and taxes.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP; tax accounting experience (CIT, VAT, WKR).
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Comfort presenting financial information to senior stakeholders and taking ownership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate monthly and yearly close with full ownership of complex accounts (revenue, cost of sales, provisions, taxes).
• Own regulatory reporting end-to-end, including DNB submissions and filings.
• Lead finance projects from kickoff through launch with engineering and product teams.
• Build financial solutions for business opportunities with FP&A, tax, operations and procurement.
• Coach and support junior accountants to grow their skills and confidence.
• Prepare for and support external auditors through the annual audit.
