Job summary

Global technology innovator, Eindhoven, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen financial governance and ensure accurate reporting in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS. Hybrid role based in Eindhoven, collaborating with Shared Service Centers and cross-functional teams to streamline the Book-to-Report cycle.

You will support period-end closings, maintain the general ledger, and deliver high-quality financial statements with strong data integrity and IFRS compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–7 years experience in GL, reporting, or financial accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills; Power BI is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus

Responsibilities

• Period-end closings including month, quarter, and year-end activities.
• General ledger maintenance ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
• Financial reporting including balance sheet, P&L, and cashflow statements.
• Balance reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
• Audit support with clear documentation and explanations.
• Process improvement within the Book-to-Report cycle.
• Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and Shared Service Centers.
• Delivery of ad-hoc financial analyses and insights.

Role Overview

The client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to strengthen their financial governance and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of financial reporting. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting period‑end closings, and producing high‑quality financial statements in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.

This hybrid role is based in Eindhoven, working closely with finance colleagues, Shared Service Centers, and cross‑functional teams to drive a smooth reporting process and continuous improvement within the Book‑to‑Report cycle.
