Job summary

The client is a global technology innovator seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting across international operations from Eindhoven. You will maintain the general ledger, support month-end and year-end closings, and prepare statements in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• 5–7 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Period-end closings (month, quarter, year).
• General ledger maintenance ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
• Financial reporting including balance sheet, P&L, and cashflow.
• Balance reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
• Quality and completeness of financial bookings and documentation.
• Audit support with clear explanations and organised files.
• Improvements in accounting processes within the Book-to-Report cycle.
• Collaboration with internal teams and Shared Service Centers.
• Delivery of ad-hoc financial analyses.

Role Overview

The client is seeking a Financial Accountant to support accurate, compliant, and high‑quality financial reporting across their international operations. You’ll maintain the general ledger, support month‑end and year‑end closings, and prepare financial statements in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.

This hybrid role is based in Eindhoven, working closely with finance colleagues, Shared Service Centers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth reporting cycles and strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Period‑end closings (month, quarter, year).
• General ledger maintenance ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
• Financial reporting including balance sheet, P&L, and cashflow.
• Balance reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
• Ensuring quality and completeness of financial bookings and documentation.
• Audit support with clear explanations and organised files.
• Identifying improvements in accounting processes and supporting optimisation within the Book‑to‑Report cycle.
• Collaboration with internal teams and Shared Service Centers.
• Delivery of ad‑hoc financial analyses.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
• 5–7 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel; Power BI is a plus.
• Analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
