Organization

Our client is a leading and fast growing company in the Biotech industry. They are listed on the Nasdaq and have offices in Europe and the USA. To support further growth they are seeking to recruit a Senior Reporting Manager (Financial Reporting Manager). In this role you report to the VP, Corporate Controller, based in the US. Main focus for this role is to execute and improve financial accounting processes. The candidate is technically very solid (Subject Matter Expert) and will work closely with the other Finance teams. The organization is a hybrid work organization and supports its staff to work from home and in the office in Leiden.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Draft financial statements, prepare and review consolidation of multiple entities
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow support
• Provide analytical support for the quarterly change in P&L and balance sheet
• Prepare year-end accounts and statutory accounts. Including providing specific accounting information to the reporting team to enable them to prepare the disclosure notes
• Continue to build out and enhance the ERP to reduce processing time and the time to close.
• Coordinate the Corporate Income Tax returns for all entities
• Review status of internal control documentation within the accounting team and timely follow up when controls are not sufficiently documented.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Further professionalize the accounting function by providing guidance to financial accountants on accounting procedures and policies
• Review reports prepared by other staff members to ensure they follow established accounting procedures in accordance with GAAP principles:
• Support all daily and month-end accounting procedures for the account results, including P&L - and balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals).

Profile

• Educated to a University degree in Accounting.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting; a mix of public accounting and private multinational company experience is preferred.
• Strong background in consolidation principles and adaptation in an ERP environment.
• High proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Working knowledge of accounting, including IFRS, Dutch, and US GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail in planning and execution of tasks.
• Good understanding of processes and procedures.
• Accurate and an eye for detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and dynamic environment.
• Clear and intelligent communicator, open-minded and creative problem solver, who is punctual, takes ownership, and has ability to deal with competing priorities and challenges.

100/110k base (depending on seniority & experience level) + significant bonus + RSUs + strong benefits
