Job summary

MSF/Artsen zonder Grenzen in Amsterdam is seeking an Operational Logistics Advisor to lead field-focused logistics and support Logistics Coordinators across country programs. You will tailor policies to local contexts, ensure HQ alignment, and mentor teams while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires extensive logistics expertise, willingness to travel up to 40%, and ongoing coordination with international partners.

Qualifications

• Higher vocational/BSc/MSc in (an area related to) Logistics.
• 5-7 years' experience as Logistics Coordinator or similar in field operations.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics domains including supply chain, IT, construction, and WASH.

Responsibilities

• Steer and tailor logistics policies to local context to ensure responsive and efficient support.
• Act as focal point for Logistics Coordinators in assigned country programs and maintain strong HQ alignment.
• Spend significant time in the field and replace LogCo’s when required.
• Coach and mentor Logistics Coordinators and provide mission-specific expert advice.
• Report and advise on transversal logistics themes and advise Operations on evolving emergencies.
