Senior European PR & External Communications Lead

Job summary

TOPdesk is seeking an experienced PR and External Communications Specialist to shape how our story is heard across the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. You will own the PR approach across three markets, strengthening media relationships and turning our product and AI strategy into stories that earn attention and credibility.

Working with the CMO, Executive Team, and Marketing and Communications teams, you will build a consistent TOPdesk narrative while adapting it to each market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in PR or external communications
• Experience across multiple markets or international audiences
• Strong media relationships in NL, Germany or UK
• Ability translate tech/product developments into journalist stories
• Confident advising C-suite for media interviews
• Understanding of PR for AI/search contexts (AEO/GEO)
• Excellent English writing skills
• Experience managing PR agencies and freelancers
• Ability to build structure for strategy, messaging, measurement

Responsibilities

• Own PR strategy and execution across the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, adapting to market maturity and media landscape.
• Build and strengthen relationships with technology, trade and business media across key markets.
• Turn TOPdesk's positioning—including AI you can trust—into compelling media stories and bylines.
• Prepare Executive Team for interviews, panels and speaking engagements with messaging and talking points.
• Lead communications around events, product announcements and evolving AI roadmap.
• Collaborate with Internal Communications to align external storytelling with internal understanding.
• Manage PR agencies and freelancers across markets with clear priorities and high-quality delivery.
• Develop a scalable European PR playbook as additional markets join the remit.
