Job summary

Randstad in Diemen, NL, is seeking a Principal Specialist, External Communications to elevate our global reputation through proactive media relations, thought leadership campaigns, and reputation management. This hybrid role requires three days in the office in Diemen.

You will pitch stories, co-create research reports, track performance, and leverage AI tools to maximize impact, collaborating with Legal, Marketing, Public Affairs and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in external communications, media relations, or PR roles.
• Exceptional written English and strong understanding of corporate strategy.
• Ability to distill complex research data into publish-ready materials.
• Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with Legal, Marketing, Public Affairs and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and manage media inquiries.
• Co-create flagship research reports and thought leadership content.
• Track press coverage and share data-driven insights to optimize campaigns; apply AI to workflows.
