Job summary

Sovos is building the future of embedded compliance through partnerships with Independent Software Vendors and Business Process Outsourcers worldwide. As a Senior Embedded ISV Sales Engineer, you’ll bridge our partner-facing sales team and the compliance platform, translating complex capabilities into partner-ready solutions.

You’ll lead technical discovery, deliver demos, advise on APIs and integration patterns, and support the full partner lifecycle across pre- and post-sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales engineering or pre-sales roles, preferably with enterprise software or embedded APIs.
• Ability to engage architects and engineering managers without requiring hands-on coding.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth and cloud SaaS integration patterns.
• Familiarity with compliance processes such as e-invoicing and e-reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of creating technical docs and demos.
• Collaborates across Sales, Solution Architecture, Product, Support, Professional Services, and Engineering.
• Willing to travel for partner meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Embedded ISV teams across the full sales cycle, providing technical credibility.
• Lead technical discovery with ISV/BPO partners and assess technical fit.
• Deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept support.
• Advise on APIs, authentication, webhooks, data flows, deployment models, testing environments, and SLAs.
• Maintain knowledge of Sovos’s compliance product suite and documentation.
• Develop technical sales assets and diagrams to scale the partner motion.
• Record engagements and partner health in CRM and tracking tools.
