Job summary

Amgen in Breda seeks a Senior Engineer to lead electrical safety governance and CAPEX projects across packaging and labelling operations. You will act as the Installation Responsible Person (IV) under NEN 3140 and drive continuous improvements across production assets.

With 7+ years in engineering and a strong background in industrial electrical systems, you will ensure GMP compliance, coordinate inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to optimize equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or industrial production environments.
• Experience as an appointed Installation Responsible Person (IV) under NEN 3140.
• Strong practical expertise in NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1.
• Native or near-native Dutch language proficiency.
• Experience working in GMP/pharmaceutical/biotech/food/medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical safety governance and CAPEX projects within packaging and labeling operations.
• Deploy new products, equipment upgrades, and manufacturing system improvements.
• Act as the electrical expert within Maintenance & Engineering and cross-functional project teams.
• Serve as Installation Responsible Person (IV) under NEN 3140.
• Ensure electrical safety compliance across production equipment and modifications.
• Coordinate inspections (NEN 3140, NEN-EN-IEC 60204-1) and ensure corrective actions.
• Review qualifications and appointments of electrically competent personnel (ECPs).
• Provide second-line support for complex electrical troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, Validation, Automation, Facilities, Supply Chain, Digital, Engineering and external vendors.
