Job summary

Bentley Systems, Incorporated is seeking a Senior Developer Content Marketing and Communications Specialist to own the developer content strategy and lead execution across programs like Developer Days, hackathons, and workshops.

You will translate complex API/SDK concepts into compelling narratives, create tutorials and case studies, and collaborate with Product Marketing, Developer Relations and Corporate Marketing to align messaging for developers and partners.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven experience in content marketing, developer relations, technical marketing, or ecosystem marketing.
• Demonstrated experience in owning components of content strategy and execution for developer-focused programs, technical communities, or platforms.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information into accessible and engaging marketing content independently.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse developer audiences.
• Advanced business context regarding software, SaaS, developer ecosystems, or infrastructure technology.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and operate independently.
• Ability to solve moderately complex content and communications problems.
• Analytical mindset to interpret program data and optimize content performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of developer-focused content strategy and communications assets for events like hackathons, Developer Days, and workshops.
• Partner with the Developer Community Events and Program Manager to plan and produce marketing content that fosters engagement.
• Own content strategy and editorial calendars for developer programs and align with broader ecosystem goals.
• Create key content assets for BDN modernization, including website copy, e-book content, and announcements.
• Translate complex API/SDK concepts into clear narratives, tutorials, case studies, and thought leadership articles.
• Coordinate content contributions for the community platform to ensure a cohesive developer journey.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Corporate Marketing to align messaging across channels.
• Use data and analytics to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion of developer content.
