Job summary

Hypersolid is seeking a brilliant maker who blends art direction with product design to raise the visual and craft ceiling of our digital offerings. You will work alongside our product designers and art directors to fuse disciplines and elevate the quality of every shipped experience.

This role requires leadership in motion, typography, and design systems, plus comfort with AI-prototyping and a Git-based workflow.

Qualifications

• At least five years of agency or studio experience as a visual or product designer.
• Portfolio shows classical design sensibility and digital craft.
• Strong visual judgment and ability to contribute to concepts and creative direction.
• Understanding motion in digital craft.
• Fluency with AI prototyping tools and ability to work in code rather than relying on prompts.
• Comfort with design systems and Git workflows.
• Experience in cross-functional teams and presenting to senior clients.

Responsibilities

• Own the visual and motion craft on the work that matters most: art direction, interface design, typography, motion and the details that separate good from exceptional.
• Work with the Design Director to develop processes and structures that raise design quality.
• Help complete the transition to AI-native design: spec-driven design and development, with scaffolding for agentic workflows.
• Shape how the wider team adopts spec-driven, AI-native workflows and help others implement them.
• Structure Figma files so designs are tokenized and machine-readable, within a Git-based workflow.
• Vibe-code ideas and prototype toward working artifacts, not just static mockups.
• Collaborate with strategy, design and development, presenting direction to senior stakeholders and clients with clarity.
• Deliver innovative, beautifully crafted work and inspire the team.
