Job summary

Monks is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own the delivery of complex software builds, coordinating plans, milestones, risks, budgets, and client communications. You will connect clients, engineering, product, and design, while supporting a modern AI-enabled workflow across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of delivering software in a consulting or client-facing setting.
• Proven Agile delivery with Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong risk, dependency, scope, budget, and schedule management.
• Excellent client communication and expectation setting.
• Experience with AI-enabled engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with delivery tools such as Jira, Linear, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery plans, milestones, timelines, and follow-ups.
• Track risks and dependencies, surface issues early, and drive mitigation.
• Lead status meetings, planning sessions, retrospectives, and other agile delivery rituals.
• Identify and resolve blockers to keep teams moving.
• Manage client communication, expectations, and alignment.
• Coordinate delivery across engineering, product, design, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor delivery against scope, budget, and schedule.
• Communicate project status clearly and honestly, especially when timelines are under pressure.
• Support and advance delivery practices in an agentic engineering environment using AI tools.
• Mentor other delivery leads and project managers, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
