Job summary

Action is a fast-growing non-food discounter with a close-knit data quality role. You will own the end-to-end data quality process across commercial, supply chain, and store operations, ensuring data is accurate, timely and governed.

You will define critical data elements, set up controls and monitor KPIs while driving improvements and governance across teams. You will collaborate with business and IT, translating requirements into data specifications, and you will explore smarter monitoring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a data-related role (data quality, master data or governance).
• Proven experience running a data quality process with DQ rules and KPIs.
• Strong root cause analysis and ability to trace recurring issues.
• Ability to map end-to-end processes and identify data gaps.
• Solid understanding of data governance: ownership, roles and rules.
• Experience defining and tracking KPIs and dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Qlik).
• Strong stakeholder management; trusted advisor.
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take over and manage the full data quality management process: incidents, monitoring, trends and follow-up.
• Define critical data elements in processes with owner, rules, definition, timeliness and expected quality.
• Set up data quality controls and monitoring with the business, based on data sources and user needs.
• Monitor data quality KPIs, spot trends and recurring issues, and decide when incidents become a structural problem.
• Perform root cause analysis and turn findings into concrete process improvements.
• Apply and develop Action's data quality framework: completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness, availability and first time right.
• Maintain and develop our data dictionary and data catalog.
• Advise the business on data risks and preventive controls in plain language.
• Explore smarter, more efficient ways of monitoring, including automation and AI agents.
