Job summary

Damen Naval is seeking a Data Governance & Quality Lead to establish and enforce data policies, standards, and processes across the data lifecycle. You will enable reliable analytics and decision-making for next-generation ships and operations by partnering with data owners and stewards and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires strong governance knowledge, stakeholder collaboration, and experience with regulatory compliance, BI reporting, and data analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or related field.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in data governance, data quality, or large-scale data programs.
• Experience with GDPR/ISO regulatory frameworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data ownership and data quality rules.
• Partner with engineers, PMs, supply chain, and stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Monitor data metrics, validate and cleanse data, and address data quality issues.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and manage data-related risks.
• Provide training and support to end-users on data quality practices.
• Stay updated on data management tools and methods and promote continuous improvement.
• Document processes, methodologies, and findings for knowledge sharing.
