Job summary

Valcon is seeking a Project or Programme Manager to lead data initiatives for clients, shaping strategy, driving delivery, and removing roadblocks. You will work with business leaders, architects, data engineers and analysts to turn strategy into platform builds, dashboards, and governance programs, while maintaining stakeholder alignment and delivering measurable value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience, including at least 3 in managing data projects, programs and/or teams.
• Experience with data-driven initiatives from strategy to implementation.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, BI/reporting, and data governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills at both operational and executive levels.
• Thorough understanding of data concepts and linking data requirements to business outcomes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Prince2 and other PM methodologies.
• Experience doing research in a business environment (interviews or surveys).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams across the full lifecycle of (strategic) data projects.
• Define and track deliverables, milestones, risks, and budgets.
• Coordinate internal and external teams and serve as the go-to decision maker.
• Ensure strategic alignment and delivery of data solutions that impact business outcomes.
• Remove roadblocks and keep stakeholders aligned and engaged.
