Job summary

Valcon is seeking a Data Specialist to serve as the technical authority on data topics for financial institutions, shaping end-to-end data solutions and governance. You will blend deep technical expertise with business insight to drive data-driven transformation.

You will lead complex projects, mentor colleagues, and engage with directors to align data architecture with strategic goals, all while ensuring high quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree completed.
• 8+ years of experience, 4+ years in credit risk domain.
• Hands-on in data-delivery Credit Risk Modelling or Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Model development cycles in a regulated context.

Responsibilities

• Design complex, scalable data solutions enabling risk and finance modelling and reporting.
• Guide clients in becoming data-driven organisations while maintaining data quality and governance.
• Mentor senior specialists and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Act as trusted advisor in strategic data discussions and data architecture decisions.
