Job summary

EY in Amsterdam seeks a senior Data Product Architect to unlock business value from data by designing data products, operating models, and governance frameworks that scale.

You will translate business ambitions into practical solutions, leading cross-functional teams across data, technology and business to drive sustainable change. A strong background in data architecture and governance is required, with client-facing consultancy experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data architecture, data engineering, governance, or data product management.
• Experience in a client-facing role in a consultancy.
• Strong understanding of data product concepts, lifecycle management, and data contracts.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS) and modern data architecture.
• Familiarity with DAMA DMBOK.
• Experience with data governance tools (Collibra, IBM WatsonX.Governance).
• Ability to communicate to technical and senior stakeholders.
• Dutch language proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Vault and dimensional modelling is a plus.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of data products across full lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
• Define and implement data product frameworks, operating models, governance structures and lifecycle management.
• Drive adoption of data product thinking across client organisations.
• Ensure data products are discoverable, reusable, and trusted with metadata, lineage, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and governance teams to design scalable data solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to align business, data, and tech teams.
• Contribute to business development by shaping proposals and presenting concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Support EY’s data governance and data product thought leadership go-to-market activities.
