Job summary

Keyrock is building a modern data platform to empower real-time decision making across trading, wealth management, product, risk, finance, compliance and research. You will join the Central Data Team (CDT) as an early hire shaping data ingestion, processing, governance and analytics.

The role emphasizes streaming and batch pipelines, self-serve data tooling, and robust data contracts. You will collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure and Platform teams while delivering scalable data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of building production data systems that other people rely on.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL: not just writing a query, but understanding how the engine executes it.
• Readable, maintainable code that others can test and delete later.
• Strong understanding of data modelling for streaming and analytical workloads.
• Emphasis on efficiency, quality, idempotency, and observability by default.

Responsibilities

• Build streaming and batch pipelines ingesting, normalising, and distributing market and portfolio data, resilient to failures.
• Build self-serve tooling (SDKs, patterns, templates, AI agents) for data product publishing and consumption.
• Own data contracts and schema evolution to avoid multi-team coordination events.
• Design lakehouse and time-series layer aligned with consumer query patterns.
• Develop Data Governance and Data Quality Framework (stale-feed detection, schema validation, range checks, idempotent writes, lineage).
• Create derived analytics for business use: cross-exchange spreads, VWAP, desk-level microstructure, portfolio views and exposures.
• Prioritise observability, cost efficiency, and performance from day one.
• Treat infrastructure as code (Docker, Terraform, CI/CD) with Central Infrastructure Team.
• Work openly: document decisions, align with Architecture and Platform teams.
