Job summary

BlockTech is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to own data pipelines and storage across real-time and long-term layers. You will design, implement, and operate high-throughput data flows critical to researchers, traders, and risk queries.

Expect ownership from concept to production and setting technical standards for the team. You will work with Rust and SQL-based stacks, ensuring low latency, reliability, and data correctness across distributed systems, with on-site collaboration in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production data infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Rust, or strong C/C++ with interest in Rust.
• Hands-on with Kafka, Redpanda, NATS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or Iceberg.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and failure modes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the ingest path. Collect exchange data and internal trading data with low latency, land in trading systems in real time.
• Architect the streaming layer. Design and operate Kafka and NATS for throughput and delivery guarantees.
• Build the storage layer. Real-time aggregation and long-term storage across PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Iceberg.
