Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer (Scraping & Scale) based in the Netherlands. This fully remote role focuses on designing and scaling high-performance web scraping and data ingestion systems to collect millions of profiles, posts, and video records daily.

You will tackle anti-bot challenges, build reliable distributed pipelines, and support large-scale analytics and AI workflows with a focus on performance and resilience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in high-volume web scraping, data engineering, or reverse engineering.
• Experience handling advanced anti-bot systems (Cloudflare, Akamai, PerimeterX) using TLS impersonation and proxy management.
• Proficient in Python or Go.
• Experience with browser automation and scraping frameworks: Playwright, Puppeteer, Scrapy, or Selenium.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and task queues: Temporal, Ray, Kafka, Redis.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with analytical data lakes and data warehouses.
• Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant data ingestion systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data collection systems.
• Design and manage web scraping infrastructure using residential proxies and browser automation.
• Build high-throughput scraping pipelines for multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X).
• Develop distributed queues and orchestration (Temporal, Kafka, Celery).
• Architect storage with Parquet, Iceberg, Snowflake, and S3.
• Implement monitoring, alerts, and recovery for proxy failures and platform changes.
• Enable AI/analytics workflows with robust data infrastructure.
