Job summary

APG is seeking a Business Data Analyst Governance & Architecture within the Data Office to bridge business requirements with data solutions across asset classes. You will ensure access to data while adhering to governance frameworks and data architecture patterns.

You will collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define data needs, document flows, and support data quality standards, enabling the data platform to deliver high-quality information products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
• Degree in econometrics, mathematics, data science, economics or related field (advanced degrees or CFA/FRM a plus).
• Experience advising senior management and enabling data-driven decision making.
• Experience with SCRUM/Agile in enterprise-level projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesis skills.
• Background in financial/asset management industry preferred.
• Excellent English communication; collaborative across teams.

Responsibilities

• Bridge business requirements with data solutions across asset classes.
• Gather, document, and translate data needs with data flow diagrams.
• Define data requirements for data products and information products.
• Identify data gaps and drive solutions with data teams.
• Provide SME support on tooling, solutions, and data strategy.
• Communicate data concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as the linking pin between Business and IT.
• Assist in designing data models and robust ETL/ELT pipelines with data engineers.
• Help teams locate and use data products while ensuring policy compliance.
• Support data governance initiatives with data modelers and architects.
