Job summary

APG is seeking a Business Data Analyst within the Governance & Architecture domain to bridge business requirements with data solutions. The role spans asset classes, ensuring data availability and governance compliance while enabling rapid data delivery.

You will work with Data Office and Data Sourcing & Distribution to optimize data pipelines and models, collaborating across multinational teams and English-speaking stakeholders. This position offers hybrid work and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
• Degree in econometrics / mathematics / data science / economics or related field.
• Advises and acts as sparring partner of (senior) management on features.
• Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies in enterprise projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills.
• Experience in the financial industry, preferably asset management.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document data requirements and data flows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data needs and capture them in data flow diagrams.
• Translate business needs into structured data requirements for data teams.
• Identify data gaps and liaise with teams to fill them.
• Act as SME to support Data Office on tooling, solutions and data initiatives.
• Explain data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Link Business & IT to ensure aligned data usage and governance.
• Design robust ETL/ELT pipelines with data engineers.
• Support data governance initiatives with data modelers and architects.
