Job summary

Hadrian, Amsterdam, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve the data infrastructure powering business intelligence, operational decision-making, and next-gen AI initiatives.

You will be the primary owner of the data platform, building scalable pipelines with Airbyte, dbt, and BigQuery, while collaborating with Engineering, AI, Security, and Business teams to deliver trusted data products. Autonomy and impact are central to this role.

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with Airbyte.
• Proficient with dbt, SQL, and Python; experience building pipelines.
• Experience with GCP and AWS environments (S3/Cloud Storage, IAM).
• Operate independently and own a data platform.
• Apply software engineering principles to data infra.
• Balance operational excellence with architectural thinking.
• Use AI pragmatically to accelerate workflows.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Share Hadrian's values and work accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate Hadrian's end-to-end data platform.
• Lead strategic data architecture initiatives for AI and MLOps.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize data integrations and pipelines.
• Build and evolve data models and semantic layers.
• Improve platform reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Engineering, AI, Security, and Business teams.
• Evaluate and implement modern data platform capabilities.
• Build tooling and automation to boost developer productivity.
