Job summary

AvePoint, a global leader in data security, governance and resilience, is seeking a commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join our expanding EMEA Legal team, based in the Netherlands. You’ll be the trusted legal partner to our Sales organisation across BeNeNord, advising on commercial contracts and negotiations, while guiding employment matters with the People team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience gained in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology and SaaS agreements.
• Knowledge of Dutch employment law and employment matters.
• Ability to assess risk and offer pragmatic solutions.
• Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of customer, partner and technology agreements including SaaS, cloud, services, resellers, NDAs and DPAs.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Security, Privacy, Product and Delivery to move deals efficiently while balancing objectives and risk.
• Provide practical, solution-oriented advice on commercial, regulatory, privacy and employment law matters.
• Support People on employee-related issues including documentation, investigations, performance matters and terminations.
• Improve contracting templates, playbooks and guidance to scale the business.
• Contribute to regional and global legal initiatives with the wider EMEA team.
