Job summary

Bynder is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel (EMEA) to support the legal team across the EMEA operations. You will negotiate SaaS commercial contracts, handle vendor agreements, and provide practical legal guidance to the Customer Success Team while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency. This role sits in a fast‑scaling SaaS company with Amsterdam/Rotterdam offices.

Native/fluent English required; Dutch language a bonus. 2–4 years in law firm or in‑house; in‑house SaaS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a highly regarded university, qualified to practice as in‑house counsel in the EMEA region.
• 2-4 years of combined experience in a law firm and/or in‑house legal department, experience in the SaaS industry is preferred but not required.
• Core Legal Mastery: Excellent knowledge of civil, commercial, and contract law.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Negotiation: negotiate SaaS commercial contracts for the Sales Team, balancing commercial needs with legal interests.
• Procurement: participate in negotiations for vendor agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance.
• Customer Success Counsel: Provide timely, practical legal guidance and collaborative support to the Customer Success Team to enhance customer relationships.
• Process Innovation: Streamline and enhance the legal team's processes, compliance framework, and best practices, proactively leveraging AI tools to boost operational effectiveness.
• Regulatory compliance: Monitor and anticipate legal developments in the SaaS and AI sectors, assisting with regulatory compliance across all EMEA jurisdictions.
• General legal advice: Provide legal advice across various business functions and strategic initiatives as needed.
