Kramp in Varsseveld is seeking a senior Category Buyer to shape the supplier network and drive value across the Shop & Workshop category. You will craft supplier strategies, secure optimal commercial terms, and continuously improve supplier performance to support Kramp’s growth.

The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring strong procurement experience and a proven ability to build long‑term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
• 5+ years of experience in category buying, strategic sourcing, or procurement of technical/engineered products.
• Strong understanding of outsourced production and subcontracting processes.
• Experience with supplier development and performance management.
• A proactive, structured, and independent working style.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to work from Varsseveld office 2+ days per week.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage and optimize a supplier portfolio aligned with category strategy and business objectives.
• Lead subcontracting, sourcing and supplier selection in collaboration with engineering.
• Drive supplier negotiations, contracts and performance discussions.
• Run benchmarks and tenders to secure cost-effective propositions and monitor cost drivers.
