Job summary

Kramp Groep B.V. in Varsseveld is hiring a senior Category Buyer to build and optimize a supplier portfolio aligned with category strategy. You will lead supplier negotiations, drive cost-effective tenders, and collaborate with engineering to meet technical requirements.

You will report to the Head of Shop & Workshop and work in a hybrid model, 2–3 office days per week. The role requires strong procurement experience and a hands-on approach to grow Kramp’s supplier network across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
• 5+ years of experience in category buying, strategic sourcing, or procurement of technical/engineered products.
• Strong understanding of outsourced production and subcontracting processes.
• Experience with supplier development and performance management.
• A proactive, structured, and independent working style.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to work from Varsseveld office 2+ days per week.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Portfolio Management: develop, manage, and optimize a robust supplier base aligned with category strategy.
• Subcontracting & Sourcing: manage subcontracting processes, guide supplier selection for custom-built components, and collaborate with engineering.
• Supplier Relationship Management: lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and performance discussions.
• Tendering & Cost Management: run benchmarks and tenders, and secure cost-effective propositions.
