Job summary

Optics11 Life in Amsterdam seeks a Capture Manager to lead strategic defense pursuits, coordinating with multinational primes, ministries and NATO procurement to win major programmes.

You will shape requirements, set win strategies, and drive early pricing discussions with the Bid Manager and Finance, while guiding a cross-functional team through the four-stage bid process and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• 8+ years in defense business development, capture or sales of complex systems.
• Experience with price-to-win and competitive analysis.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify strategic pursuits: track national procurement plans and NATO/EDP programmes and qualify with sales leaders.
• Own the capture plan: define needs, procurement route, and competitive landscape; keep HubSpot updated.
• Shape opportunities by engaging customers before tender and influencing requirements.
• Analyze competition and position Optics11’s value proposition.
• Lead teaming and partner strategy with primes, system integrators and partners.
• Set the price-to-win and align with Bid Manager and Finance early.
• Address local requirements and export controls to shape pursuit.
• Drive bid/no-bid decisions and hand over complete capture plans and win themes.
