Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Amsterdam is seeking a results-oriented sales professional to pursue, secure, and execute profitable business opportunities across Europe. You will engage with new and existing customers to deliver Corning's product, process, and technical solutions.

Responsibilities include developing sales plans, negotiating terms, and maintaining strong customer relationships while traveling across Europe as needed to ensure regional objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Technical required
• Fluency in English required
• Language skills in customers' primary geographic location(s) preferred

Responsibilities

• Investigates and identifies sales opportunities and develops and executes sales plans to provide customers with integrated product, process, and technical solutions
• Promotes Corning's products and services to differentiate in the market and secure new or extended selling opportunities
• Closes sales opportunities through negotiation of price, volume, and other terms and aligns customer expectations with delivery capabilities
• Maintains frequent contact with customers to strengthen relationships and maximize sales penetration and retention
• Customizes presentations and marketing collateral to fit customer’s technical needs
• Collects market, customer, and competitor intelligence and disseminates this knowledge to inform sales, marketing, and technical strategies and forecasts
• Collects sales information to inform short-term and long-term forecasting (sales budget and 5-year plan)
• Supports existing customers with logistics, qualification, and/or contractual terms issues
• Educates customers on product changes and new offerings
• Role may work across European countries to represent Corning consistently across the region
