Job summary

ASICS is seeking a Senior BI Engineer at our EMEA HQ in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam to drive the development and optimisation of back-end BI solutions that deliver actionable insights across the organisation. You will lead data governance, integration and cross-functional collaboration while establishing best practices to boost data literacy and BI adoption throughout EMEA.

Qualifications

• Extensive SQL and relational database expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT; experience with complementary ETL solutions such as Azure Data Factory is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success leading significant ETL and database projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritise technical requirements that align with the overall business strategy whilst translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Lead data integration initiatives and orchestrate sophisticated data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across the organisation.
• Design advanced data models and database schemas whilst implementing comprehensive data transformation, cleansing, validation and enrichment processes.
• Optimise database platforms to enhance performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness across all Business Intelligence operations.
• Establish robust documentation and version control systems whilst ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations and managing access controls.
• Provide expert support and training to peers and stakeholders through effective troubleshooting and incident management approaches.
• Drive Business Intelligence adoption and enhance data literacy across the EMEA organisation through continuous improvement initiatives and targeted development programmes.
