Job summary

Alfen is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to develop and implement maintenance strategies for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will partner with Service teams and R&D to improve uptime, reliability, and safety while translating field experience into practical maintenance plans.

The role requires a technical degree, 5+ years in an international setting, and strong communication and planning skills. You will work across procurement, quality, and operations, with options for flexible hours

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical or Energy Engineering.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international technical environment.
Dutch, English or German language proficiency.
Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems; able to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement maintenance strategies for Alfen’s Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Use data to identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and availability.
Support preventive and condition-based maintenance approaches.
Collaborate with Service, R&D, Supply Chain and Quality.
