Job summary

Vinted Group is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Engineering Experience domain within the Platform unit. You will design, build, and own backend services and tooling to enable fast, safe, and reliable development across engineering teams.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted engineering, scalable systems, and strong observability, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to mentor teammates across Go, Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD workflows.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing, building, and running scalable backend systems.
• Pragmatic system designer focusing on long-term stability while enabling fast iteration.
• AI & developer tooling mindset with familiarity of integrating tooling into pipelines.
• Ownership mindset with ability to work autonomously on ambiguous problems.
• Mentorship and collaboration across teams to uplift engineers and adopt new practices.
• Operational awareness with instrumentation, metrics, traces, and logs.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and delivery of backend services, tooling, and frameworks.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering and integrate AI workflows across the software lifecycle.
• Accelerate cloud environments, CI/CD, and pipelines for rapid validation and merge of changes.
• Champion code quality with thorough testing across units, integrations, and E2E tests.
• Ensure observability and reliability with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Mentor peers, review code, and document RFCs/ADRs to drive adoption.
